Maria Afxenti is a highly respected voice teacher, performer, and multi-instrumentalist known for helping students discover and develop their unique voices. With a warm, student-centered approach, she guides singers in building technique, expression, and confidence.

Maria has performed across Europe in concerts and festivals and has been a core member of professional choirs. In 2022, she gained national recognition on The Voice of Greece, where all four coaches turned their chairs during her audition. Her journey to the live shows sharpened her stage presence and deepened her understanding of live performance.

She performs regularly at festivals and events, bringing real-world experience into her lessons. Her background in musical theater enriches her teaching by blending vocal and dramatic expression. As the founder of Funky School of Arts, Maria fosters a supportive environment where students of all ages can thrive creatively and technically.

Maria is also a skilled pianist and guitarist, using her instrumental expertise to deepen students’ understanding of music. Proficient in music production software, she creates custom backing tracks and offers studio-like recording experiences to prepare students for professional settings.

Certified in Vocal Health First Aid, Maria prioritizes safe, sustainable vocal techniques. She emphasizes vocal hygiene and tailors her guidance to ensure long-term vocal health.

Holding a BA in Music (Jazz Vocals) and a Master’s in Music Education, Maria combines technical skill with personalized instruction. Her holistic approach, shaped by her diverse experience as a performer and educator, empowers students to grow as confident, expressive artists. Teaching is her calling, and she continues to inspire the next generation of musicians with passion and dedication.
